It is not easy at all to keep up your daily motiviation during Corona Lockdown. Especially the beginning was pretty hard for most of us. In our Facebook campaign “Together we are strong” SIGMA employees have shared their experiences and provided some health and fitness tips for our community. Here is a summary for you:
Jennifer is responsible for marketing at SIGMA SPORT and is currently keeping fit to go outside every day. Jennifer combines her walks with geocachin. A kind of GPS-assisted treasure hunt in which you can discover your familiar surroundings in a completely new way. A geocache is definitely close to you: www.geocaching.com
Andreas shares his daily “way to home office” with us. He is Head of Creation and Design at SIGMA SPORT and loves starting the day with a running lap early in the morning, combined with light stretching exercises. His favorite tour leads to a nearby Lake. Particularly motivating: the sight of the sunrise.
At Easter🐰, the possibilities for spending leisure time were limited. Our colleague Kerstin took part in a great campaign with her kids. “We took part in the 🌈Rainbow🌈 campaign against Corona and painted a large rainbow on our window. As a sign of hope that should encourage us and spread joy and express solidarity that we also stay at home.”
Our colleague Melanie decided to see this forced deceleration of “normal” life in a positive way use the extra time wisely. Especially for yourself and for so many little things that are often neglected in stressful everyday life. But above all, much more time for her beastly 🐱🐶🐴 friends and roommates, who are very happy about it!
To Nasrin, not only exercise and fresh air, but also nutrition is super important for a healthy immune system. “In my opinion, the topic gets far too little attention. A visit to the fruit and vegetable shop is particularly worthwhile now.🍏🍓🍒 My personal motto: A grapefruit a day keeps Corona away!🍊”
Patrick has planned a couple of bike trips 🚴♂️ for the sunny weekend. ☀️ “Since most restaurants and cafes are completely closed, you have to be well prepared. My tip: rice cake 🍚. Easy to make, nutritious and tasty. Boil 400g of rice pudding, 400ml of coconut milk, 400ml of water and a pinch of salt in a saucepan until it has become a sticky mass. Sweeten to your taste with some cinnamon and honey. Put in a flat shaped casserole and freeze overnight.”
Like many of us at SIGMA SPORT, Heike is out and above by foot or by bike. To compensate, she does yoga. It helps her to push her physical and mental limits.
Our employee Marina is also currently working in the home office. She compensates for the lack of exercise with fitness exercises in the garden at home to get some fresh air. At the end, she always does an exergame with the iD.FREE and keeps breaking her own records.
